Long-time readers will remember that I have a long-time love affair with “white and wood”. What they may not know is that I also harbour a love for UK product-and-furniture designer Russell Pinch. His new Luna range of products for Jamie Oliver combines creamy porcelain, natural oak and expert design. My favourites are the oak-handled sauce pot and the Mondrian-esque lattice trivet, but I’d happily welcome any of these into my kitchen.

The Sauce boat looks great but the handle has broken off two of them now. so we wont be getting another. Refund time. to my mind it’s not fit for purpose. there is a skinny porcelaine shaft about as thick as a pencil that runs through the wooden handle and they have both just broken as we have picked them up !! ended with bread sauce every where !!!
