I’ve been a fan of Alessi products ever since my Mum brought home a green plastic kettle sometime back in the ’90′s. (From a collaboration with Philips, it was a floor model and leaked from the get-go, but man did it look cool.) Their newest tableware range, designed by British architect David Chipperfield, is less quirky, but just as covetable:

Called Tonale, it was inspired by the shapes of Korean stoneware and the muted colours of Italian artist Giorgio Morandi. I like how the mismatched shades work together to create interesting and cohesive table settings. I’ll be looking out for this range in person.
