One current trend I particularly love for kitchens is the tiled wall. Not a tiled backsplash, not a recessed nook, but a whole tiled wall. Depending on the tile you choose, the look can be bold and impactful or subtle.

I think I prefer Subway.. or something a little less busy they don’t have to be rectangles they could be squares…
to me the austere wins overall kitchen look, but its not because of the tiles.. its the good lookin’ oven & cabinets. i love that retro tile in the first pic.. it give me a warm feeling, like morocco and spices.. the white cabinets & counters arent doing it justice
