Idea: Tea Towel Curtains

When I saw this image over at The Kitchn last week, I knew I had to re-post it here. Tea towels as curtains- what a wonderful idea! Hanging on a simple rod, this looks cheerful and modern and oh so practical. I just love it.

Simply delightful! It sets such a cheerful tone for the entire room…
    Must.Do.This :)

  2. I love ths idea of hanging pretty kitchen tea towels as window dressing! How beautiful – they have a similar effect to stained glass windows. Clever.

  3. This is a clever idea, especially as so many tea towels are design pieces in their own right. They might not provide as much privacy as proper curtains, but they certainly make a good statement!

    How cute is that?! Adorable!

  5. I love it too! Thanks for blogging about this.

  6. Clever idea but not much privacy!

I love this as u don’t want the window in the kitchen to be completely covered and this lets the perfect amount of light in. My question is do u know how they hung the fabric from the hooks? It’s hard to tell from the pic if the “hooks” on rod have clips of they just pin thru the fabric. If anyone knows plz enlighten me as to where i can buy these for the future.

Hi dee, I’m pretty sure those rings have clips attached, though it is hard to see. In any case, the wire-and-clip method seems right for this look, as it’s quickly changeable and very affordable. I know you can find these things at IKEA.
