Instead of talking about kitchens today, I thought I’d share some of my recent blog finds with you. There are so many out there that the blogosphere can be overwhelming at times, and I know I’m guilty of sometimes shutting it out, and sticking instead to my tried-and-true reads. But a new blog can be like a new friend- exciting and nurturing- so I like to get out there and “meet” some now and then.
The six blogs I’m sharing today were all found via the blogging class I recently took. Blogging Your Way by Holly Becker and Leslie Shewring was a fantastic course on creative and inspirational blogging, and my fellow students ranged from food bloggers to fashion bloggers, design bloggers to business bloggers. It was hard to choose just six for this post, but I think I’ve found a little something for everyone.
1. going home to roost

I’ve mentioned going home to roost once before, but Bonnie’s fab blog is full of great content, so forgive me for being redundant. I’m a big fan of her weekly Etsy Shop Help series, as well as her thoughts on everything from the femivore movement to fashion.
2. Carrots and Kids

Carrots and Kids is a blog primarily about gardening in the English countryside, with a bit of family, photography and crafting thrown in. Deb writes with a wit and candour that I love, and her Feel Good Friday series has become a must-read for me.
3. Amateur with an Apron

Lisa’s blog is a food blog with a difference: she doesn’t cook with gluten, dairy or soy. You might think, what’s the point?, but you’d be wrong. I’m in love with the concept of her S’mores Cake, and plan to make the Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins soon.
4. Making it Lovely

Making it Lovely is already quite well-known in design blog land, but it’s one I had to include here. Nicole has been blogging about the transformation of her home since 2007, and intersperses that with posts on style, organization and general beautifying. Plus, she named her daughter Eleanor, so you know she’s got good taste ;)
5. Penelope Loves Lists

The tagline “Inspiration for the Unapologetically Organized Soul” just about sums up this lovely blog. With a focus on covetable stationary and obsessive organizing, woven together by funny and readable prose, this is the place for the mildly OCD among you.
6. Good Measure

Good Measure is a blog about the finer things in life. Food, home, style and products all get equal coverage here. For heaven’s sake, this site even makes cleaning look good. A daily read for me.
